Professor Kevin C. P. Conlon,MB, MA, MCh, MBA, PhD, FRCSI, FACS, FRCSEd(Hon), FRCSGlas(Hon), FTCD Professor Conlon is Emeritus Professor of Surgery and Fellow Emeritus at Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin. He was a HPB surgeon and surgical oncologist based at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland, and Tallaght University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. His main clinical and research efforts relate to benign and malignant diseases of the pancreas. He trained in general surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri, and completed surgical oncology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, New York. His MBA was obtained from Columbia University in New York, and PhD from the National University of Ireland / Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He is widely published.
He was the Editor-in-Chief of Digestive Surgery (2014-2021) and has served on the editorial board of multiple international journals. He is a member of many cooperative groups. He was President of the European-African-Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary-Association (E-AHPBA), and Secretary General of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary-Association (IHPBA). He served as Vice-Chair of the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes (UEMS) Division of HPB Surgery (2012-2019), and President of the UEMS HPB Board of Examiners (2015-2019). He is currently a member of the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and of the Council of European Digestive Surgery.
He is also a member of the European Surgical Association and the International Surgical Group. He is a Past-President (2011) of the Pancreatic Society of Great Britain & Ireland (PSGBI). He is married to Jennifer with three adult daughters.
